Take a step back in time and experience Nacogdoches's larger than life history and immerse yourself in the early Piney Woods! See how Nacogdoches became known as the "Oldest Town in Texas" and how its founders still influence it today. We invite you to take a stroll through our past. This website includes all of Nacogdoches's figurative bronze statues, regardless of sponsor.

Our suggestion, when doing the statue tour, is to begin on Main Street. You can park at the Charles Bright Visitors Center and walk to the first seven statues. Note that the Storytellers is along Hospital Street and the Diedrich Rulfs statue is on Church Street, between Hospital and Main Street. The next four statues are on Mound Street, and you can drive down the street to see them. Stephen F. Austin is on the SFASU campus (at the end of Raguet Street). Finally, Fray Antonio Margil de Jesus is on the grounds of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
